About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and proper operation and maintenance of our site vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily equipment checks, complete daily report forms for all equipment used, including mileage and service records.
  • Health and Safety: Operate with diligence and care, ensuring Health and Safety parameters are strictly adhered to.
  • Waste Management: Provide a control of the waste directly at the point of unloading, and ensure the cleaning of the working area in and out of cab.
  • Reporting and Communication: Inform the shift leader about all accidents, unsuitable waste, etc.
Requirements
  • Attitude and Skills: Attitude for compliance and good attention to detail, robust, resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively.
  • Experience: Experience of working in either a Waste Management, Warehousing or Construction environment, mechanical knowledge, mobile plant operation and maintenance, previous experience in operating a FLT, loading shovel or 360.
