The selected engineer will be responsible for developing ground models and designing structures including retaining walls, foundations, piles, and reinforced soil slopes on residential and commercial projects. They will also conduct ground movement assessments and train junior members of the team.

To be considered, you should have experience as a geotechnical design engineer, with a strong understanding of soil mechanics and proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile, and WALLAP. A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus), or similar (MSc preferred) is also required. A full and clean UK driving license and commutability to York are essential requirements.
