TB Infection Control Specialist

About the Role:

This role involves working as a TB Infection Control Specialist, providing expert nursing care and support to patients with TB and LTBI, while also promoting infection control practices within our community.

Job Summary:

  • To provide specialist nursing care and support to patients with TB and LTBI
  • To work closely with healthcare professionals to identify and manage TB cases
  • To educate patients, families, and communities about TB and infection control practices

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients with TB and LTBI to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, including GPs, Medical Microbiologists, and community staff as required
  • Develop and implement effective patient care plans in collaboration with clients and healthcare teams
  • Stay up-to-date with best practice and evidence-based guidelines in TB management

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration
  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
  • Significant post-registration experience in TB, Infection Control, Public Health or Community nursing

Salary: £43,041 - £70,305 per annum, dependent on experience
