As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 3D artists, overseeing their performance and development, and collaborating with the art director to review and refine character designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3D artists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality character models.
  • Collaborate with the art director to review and refine character designs, ensuring they meet the project's art direction.
  • Work with other art leads on character art direction, ensuring consistency and cohesion across the project.
  • Partner with the Head of Art, Designers, Programmers, and Producers to align creative vision with production constraints.
  • Produce high-quality character models that adhere to the project's art direction, ensuring they meet technical and artistic standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing small teams, including recruitment and team collaboration.
  • Expert understanding of anatomy, proportions, and character modeling.
  • Proven expertise in creating and designing creature art.
  • Strong knowledge of the video game development process and production pipelines.
  • Skilled in translating concept and reference artwork into high-quality 3D character models.
  • Proficient in 3D software such as Substance, Maya, Blender, and Zbrush.
  • Deep expertise in the PBR material pipeline and project tools like game engines, JIRA, Confluence, Miro.
