Quantity Surveyor - Commercial

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience and progress your career with a highly reputable construction company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice on drawings and ensure each project has the correct documentation.
  • Manage the end-to-end commercial aspects of assigned projects to maximise value and collaborate with the Finance and Procurement departments.
  • Ensure all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
  • Analyse rates and prices and agree variations and/or compensation events as required.
  • Identify and analyse potential debt risks and negotiate financial reconciliation with third parties.
  • Forecast monthly and annual profit figures ensuring figures are maintained throughout the project.
  • Understand the principles of safety on sites and projects.
  • Support the Safety Director and Safety team in the application of safety policy and practice.
  • Ensure any safety concerns are addressed immediately with the support of the Safety team and Directors.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients.
  • Allocate work to sub-contractors and assist with procurement when required.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Minimum 7 A-C / 5-9 including maths and English.
  • HNC Level 4 Qualification in Construction/Building or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel.
