About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner and Stores Coordinator to join our client in Cambridge. As a key member of the Engineering and Maintenance department, you will be responsible for providing a planning service and managing the Engineering stores to ensure parts are available when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a maintenance plan to ensure efficient completion of work activities with the correct resources.
  • Manage day-to-day stock levels, ensuring goods are stored correctly and efficiently.
  • Assess and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels, aligning with criticality assessments.
  • Coordinate pre-kitting for major planned maintenance tasks, ensuring all required parts are available.
  • Manage the stock take process, identifying and resolving stock discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce annual spare part costs by exploring alternative suppliers and negotiating price breaks.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in manufacturing or maintenance planning.
  • Experience in managing stock levels and stores management.
  • High proficiency in major IT packages, such as SAP and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Highly organized and effective in managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong focus on data and metrics.
