About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Primary Mental Health Worker to join our team at MyTime South Cumbria. As a Primary Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and strengthening the provision of emotional and mental health support for children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training to improve outcomes for children and young people
  • Work closely with community services to build capacity and capability in prevention, early identification, and intervention
  • Provide emotional and mental health support to children and young people in a community setting
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children and young people's emotional wellbeing
Requirements
  • RMN/CQSW/DipSW/BSc.OT or other relevant professional qualification
  • Significant post-registration experience of working in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of children's safeguarding
  • Ability to use own initiative and work without close supervision within agreed protocols
