Citigroup, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Kafka Systems Architect to join our team. As a senior Engineering Lead Analyst role with the Kafka as a Service project, this individual will lead engineering activities and collaborate with various teams to support Kafka adoption and continued use.

Key responsibilities include serving as a technology subject matter expert, ensuring integration meets business goals, defining system enhancements, and advising junior team members. The successful candidate will have experience working in Financial Services or a large complex environment, with knowledge of Kafka Ecosystem, Kubernetes, Java, Python, Ansible, and design metrics.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a matrix environment, partner with virtual teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, and consistently demonstrates clear and concise communication.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Strong knowledge of Kafka Ecosystem, Kubernetes, Java, Python, Ansible, and design metrics
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
