Job DescriptionThis role is an exciting opportunity to join our estates management team as a skilled mechanical technician. You will work from a central facilities workshop, responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault-finding, and installation work on various buildings with state-of-the-art vehicle design, test, and office facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Low and high-pressure hot water systems, pumps, boilers, valves, etc.
- Compressed air systems and general plant room maintenance
- Hydraulics and pneumatics, installation and repair
- Heating/ventilation and air conditioning systems
- General plumbing, kitchen/toilet installations/fault-finding, and repairs, and mechanical equipment repairs
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Completion of an appropriate trade apprenticeship with education to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Experience in plumbing and pipework systems of all types
- Competent in working on water/sewage pumping systems
- Experience on workshop equipment and machinery and competent at mechanical repairs
- Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to problem-solving
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including a comprehensive pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, and access to exclusive employee discounts.
