Senior Quantity Surveyor – Highways – £45k-£55k+package

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of a £220m Civil Highways Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to the management team to ensure business targets and KPIs are exceeded.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost/value reports for the area, analyzing results and trends with other contract team members.
  • Produce commercial reports, reviewing results and considering trends with other contract team members.
  • Conduct physical measurements of works and agree on same with clients and subcontractors.
  • Agree on certification and payment of subcontractor accounts, monitoring against forecasts.
  • Implement and comply with the contract change control procedure, monitoring and issuing notices to clients as necessary.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to the area team as required.
  • Manage subcontractors, including sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing with tender, negotiation, order placement, agreement of account, and payment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working for a sub/main contractor on a civil engineering project in the UK in a commercial role.
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and Excel.
