  About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Financial Strategist - UK Entity Manager. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our UK entities.

You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and implementing financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth and success in the UK market.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and oversees accounting operations for all UK sites, leading and managing the Local UK Finance Team.
  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
  • Conducts variance analysis and reports on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversees the preparation of financial statements and filings in compliance with UK and US GAAP, supporting the audit process and liaising with external auditors.
  • Conducts ad hoc financial analyses and prepares reports to facilitate decision making.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, and tests internal controls in compliance with both local requirements and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Works cross-functionally and with other Allegion business units to identify and achieve operational improvements and build and assess business cases as necessary.
  • Manages a team of various levels and is accountable for the performance and results of a team.

  About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent field, and a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc). Over 10 years of post-qualification experience is also required.

You should have excellent communication and influencing skills, strong analytical and data gathering skills, proficiency in financial modeling techniques, and solid fluency with Excel formulas and functions.

A commercial acumen with a strong understanding of business operations and market dynamics is essential. Additionally, you should be able to meet tight deadlines under pressure, work independently in a matrixed structure, and demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy.
