About the Role

At Ross-Shire Engineering Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our Chemical & Biological Treatment business platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects that focus on sustainable growth, low-carbon solutions, and innovative technologies.

As a key member of our Design team, you will be responsible for leading projects from scoping to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our business forward and helping us maintain our position as a market leader in the water treatment industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop bids and proposals for new projects and strategic frameworks.
  • Lead project planning and implementation in collaboration with our Delivery Management teams.
  • Manage and develop a team of Electrical Design Engineers.
  • Oversee the development of design deliverables and EICA activities within the business stream.
  • Provide technical guidance to the project team and Senior Management.
  • Contribute to our Net Zero goals and sustainability initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop the next generation of Electrical Design Engineers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional registration with IET, InstMC, or similar (IEng, CEng).
  • UK-wide travel for business meetings and project visits.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of British and European design standards.
  • Experience in project development, design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Detailed knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control.
  • Preconstruction design and cost evaluation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
