About the Role

MindWise is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by mental health issues to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Empowerment: Provide a safe, supportive, and stable environment for individuals experiencing mental health issues, improving their quality of life and reducing social isolation.
  • Early Intervention: Support individuals to access the right support early, encouraging physical health activities, healthy eating programs, and physical health screening where appropriate.
  • Community Involvement: Encourage individuals to become active citizens in their local community.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless support and care.
Requirements
  • Essential Skills: Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 6 months recent experience providing support to individuals with mental illness, either in a paid or voluntary position, or 6 months experience in a care setting.
  • Registration: NISCC Registration or eligible to be registered from commencement of role.
