Undergraduate Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

National Grid plc is seeking a motivated undergraduate Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure Development and Delivery team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in project validation and cost management, and to develop your skills in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting tender activities, validating actual costs, and reviewing Early Warning Notices.

The successful candidate will have a minimum 2:2 in a Quantity Surveying degree discipline and be committed to a 12-month Industrial Placement.

  • Support tender activities where required using benchmark data and eHub cost estimates
  • Support audit of Subcontractors works on site against ValuationsPayment Certificates
  • Supporting Invoice reconciliation
  • Overseeing the validation of Contractors forecast
  • Assist in contractual claims and the Early WarningCompensation Event process
Salary and Benefits

A starting salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro rata) based on qualifications and experience.£24,109 fixed pay.26 days annual leave.

Regular feedback, close mentorship, and 3 days development training.
