Job Description: Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Kensington and Chelsea, SW10

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly-experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance in a primary school setting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children with ASD and a strong understanding of de-escalation techniques.

The successful applicant will work on a 1:1 basis with the child, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and develop social skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to make a real difference in the life of a child.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD and PDA
• Develop and implement strategies to support the child's learning and development
• Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure the child's needs are met

Requirements:

We are looking for an individual who has:
• Extensive experience working with children with ASD
• Strong knowledge of de-escalation techniques and crisis management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for supporting children with special educational needs

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
