Job Title: Environmental and Safety Engineer Location: Barrow-In-Furness Salary: Competitive Job Summary: As an environmental specialist at BAE Systems, you will be involved in a wide range of environmental activities with responsibility for gathering, assessing and reporting the environmental information that will help demonstrate the environmental case for each submarine. Your key responsibilities will include supporting system owners with design of systems, undertaking environmental impact and risk assessments, collating evidence and producing documents to support the environmental case, and supporting net zero and carbon management/foot printing activities. Key Skills and Experience: * Understanding of sustainability and environmental requirements in the context of product design * Ability to evaluate environmental and technical data * Report writing/presentation skills and ability to effectively convey environmental information * Degree or equivalent in Environmental or Sustainability related discipline Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. You will be joining a small team of 7 members and supporting both SSNA and Dreadnought Programmes.
