About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver to join our team at Backline Logistics Support Services Ltd. As a Class 2 driver, you will be responsible for safely operating vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery and collection of loads, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle logs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class 2 vehicles
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery and collection of loads
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle logs
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ourselves, and customers
  • Will to travel to different clients
  • Happy to have a variety of work ranging from Curtain siders, pallets, Rigids, Fridge, Tankers, etc.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 2 HGV (C) license
  • Will to travel to different clients
  • Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum of 1 year of HGV driving experience (preferred, but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations
  • Excellent driving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Free in-house up-skilling is also available to aid your career progression, including Driver CPC training, HIAB, and ADR.
