Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at BSV Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed electrical designs, including schematics, LV distribution, lighting, small power & data, fire alarm, and security layouts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering design principles and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They will be required to undertake calculations in accordance with the latest British Standards and make steps to minimize expenses and non-chargeable costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical systems, including schematics and layouts.
  2. Collaborate with the Design/Engineering team to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  3. Undertake calculations and make recommendations to minimize expenses and non-chargeable costs.
  4. Communicate design solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  5. Participate in effective presentations to external organizations, clients, and peer groups.
Requirements:
  1. Building Services Engineering HNC, or degree - equivalent within a relevant subject.
  2. CAD experience.
  3. Electrical engineering design knowledge.
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
