Harrison Scott Associates is seeking a highly skilled Research Chemist to join our client's team in the development of high-performance coatings for specialized print media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate functional surface coatings, adhesives, and inks for sale as compounded chemistry or for application to flexible substrates.
- Coordinate projects from conception to commercial acceptance and provide technical support/troubleshooting throughout the product life cycle.
- Manage regular and ad-hoc projects within the R&D scope, updating and advising the Laboratory Administrator and Technical Director.
- Evaluate raw materials efficiently and select suitable raw chemistries for formulation.
- Produce pilot coatings and employ test procedures for establishing functionality/performance.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping principles within the team.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level in Chemistry.
- Resilient and results-oriented, with a strong quality focus and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Good PC skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
