Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a secondary school in Hackney. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require behavioural support, guiding them to stay focused and providing crucial social and emotional assistance.

• Provide one-on-one support to students within the classroom
• Maintain a visible presence around the school to encourage positive behaviour
• Address low-level disruptions and foster a conducive learning environment
• De-escalate behavioural incidents and teach students self-regulation techniques
• Supervise the isolation room and ensure students complete their assigned work
• Oversee detention sessions to promote discipline and order

This large, secondary school in Hackney is Ofsted-rated "Good" and offers excellent opportunities for professional development. The school is well-connected by local bus routes and provides on-site parking for those who drive.

• Term-time only, starting immediately and running through to July 2025
• Working hours: 8:15 am - 4:15 pm, Monday to Friday
• Competitive daily pay rate between £95-£105, based on experience
