Learning Environment Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Environment Coordinator to join our team at the Education Authority. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe and organized learning environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Support students with special educational needs, providing tailored support and assistance
  • Work closely with teachers, students, and other support staff to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed

Requirements:

  • A minimum of six months' experience working with children in a formal learning environment (school, nursery or playgroup)
  • Hold either a Level 2 childcare qualification as approved by EA or have a minimum of 1 year's experience of working with a child/children in a formal learning environment
  • Working knowledge of information technology systems, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and/or C2K schools IT systems

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the requirements of a Classroom Assistant (special educational needs), child development issues, and health and safety requirements relevant to the role
  • Evidence of an ability to work flexibly and creatively to help ensure a child-centred learning experience
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven team working and collaborative skills
  • Effective planning and organizing skills to ensure work is completed on time to the required standard

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000, depending on experience.
