About the Role

As a Senior Portfolio Manager for Banking Operations, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and governing regional and international operations portfolio projects, ensuring quality, outcomes, timelines, and cost requirements are met.

You will lead and manage a team of staff and project delivery teams to deliver the portfolio of work on time and on budget. You will also provide expert advice on programme and portfolio management, change control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall portfolio of projects, including setting up effective communications within the project and programme teams.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with minimum quality standards defined in the project delivery policy and procedures.
  • Define and track the delivery of project outcomes and benefits.
  • Manage IT vendors, consultants, and contractors as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of delivering programmes and projects to financial institutions. Key qualifications include:

  • At least 10 years of experience in banking operations or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and running regulatory projects.
  • Good understanding of financial products and front-to-back processes.
  • Financial cost categorization (capital vs expense).
  • Project/programme/portfolio management, including change control.
