Job Title: Building Property Portfolio Manager

Job Summary:

Morgan Hunt is delighted to support a Third Sector Organisation in their search for a Building Property Surveyor (Projects/Maintenance). This role will support the Building Services Manager in managing and developing the UK-wide occupational property portfolio. This involves ensuring occupation costs are minimised, all retail shops and other locations are fit for purpose, and that they comply with company, operational, and legal requirements within the allocated budgets. Additionally, new projects must be delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with operational and legal standards.

Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance across the property portfolio.

Act as the main contact for your area, handling emergencies on a rota basis.

Manage property maintenance budgets, ensuring safe conditions and assisting with annual budgeting.

Inspect and diagnose building defects, arrange repairs, and oversee statutory approvals and tenders through to project completion.

Liaise with the estate manager on landlord repairs and permissions.

Keep property records up to date and manage contractors, ensuring contracts meet agreed standards.

Conduct surveys, pre-acquisition inspections, and manage schedules of condition, aiming to reduce the Client's liability.

Attend meetings, keep records, and provide timely updates to stakeholders on works and progress.

Work collaboratively within the Property Services Team and maintain high work standards while meeting deadlines. Complete other tasks as assigned by the Building Services Manager.

Working Arrangements:

This position is Home-based with frequent travel throughout the region and occasional overnight stays. Some UK-wide travel may also be required.
