Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our Aseptic and Clinical Trials team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and research.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Aseptic Services Management team in the day-to-day management and provision of cytotoxic reconstitution and aseptic services across sites. This will include ensuring appropriate working conditions, adhering to Good Manufacturing and Dispensing Practice, and applying the principles of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
The postholder will also be responsible for contributing to the team, providing good communication skills, and being able to interpret and work with complex clinical trial and aseptic documents/guidelines. Additionally, they will participate in the chemotherapy prescription verification rota and assist in maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the unlicensed NHS facility requirements.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a GPhC registered Pharmacist with experience in aseptics, clinical trials, or quality assurance. They will have good leadership skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and have a strong understanding of current developments in pharmacy and technical pharmacy services.
