About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Apply Recruitment on an interim basis. The successful candidate will support an IT transformation programme, providing financial analysis and guidance while adeptly managing programme finances.

The role requires someone with proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably within an IT or project management environment. Strong understanding of general accounting principles and proficiency in financial software, particularly Excel, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Tracking and Analysis: Provide insightful financial reporting and analysis to facilitate effective decision-making within the programme leadership.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendors effectively to ensure seamless operations.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Cost Control: Implement cost-control measures to minimize expenses.
  • Resource Cost Tracking: Monitor and track resource costs to optimize budget allocation.
  • Invoice and Payment Tracking: Oversee invoice and payment processing to ensure timely payments.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including various levels of management and external vendors.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: At least 6 months of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Qualifications: A degree-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; AAT qualification or equivalent desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role is based in Manchester and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
