Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer

Litron Lasers Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain our Microsoft Server network infrastructure and virtualization environment.
  • Support, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Servers, Applications, Hardware, and Software.
  • Oversee the smooth running of all aspects of the IT infrastructure, including network storage, backup systems, and recovery solutions.
  • Manage, maintain, and support the IT infrastructure, including network facing devices and associated peripherals.
  • Oversee Office 365 management, including Exchange, cloud-based continuity services, SPAM filtering, and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Maintain the domain Active Directory and local user profile integration.
  • Maintain records and infrastructure for compliance with Cyber Essentials.
  • Provide support channel for external support to 3rd party software.
  • Management of cloud-based Anti-virus policies.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud-based services.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing virtual environments, particularly HyperVisor and KVM.
  • Expertise in managing email services such as Microsoft Exchange, SPAM filtering, cloud messaging, and continuity services.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS administration, including Active Directory management, Group Policy, user/group management, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in maintaining server and storage hardware, including NAS and SAN systems.
  • Solid understanding of IT security principles, including antivirus measures, hard drive encryption, client system hardening, and authentication methods.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of IP networking.
  • Experience working with backup software – Veeam, Linux rsync.
  • An understanding of patch management, software management, and automation using SCCM.
  • An understanding of penetration testing.
