We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support our client on a 6-month temporary contract. This role offers a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000, dependent on experience, with supplemental pay for alarm cover and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement maintenance and spare parts plans, focusing on automation and continuous improvement of infrastructure.
- Monitor and document maintenance activities, ensuring availability of essential services in line with production schedules.
- Provide training to farm-based staff on resolving alarms and performing daily maintenance.
- Manage contractors on-site for specialist projects and capital expenditure (capex) developments.
- Contribute to process enhancements while ensuring compliance with health and safety, biosecurity, and environmental policies.
- Electrical Expertise: Strong background in electrical installation for pumps, monitoring, and control equipment.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with heating/cooling systems, water treatment, re-use, gas/liquid interactions, and pressurized systems.
- Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize and efficiently meet maintenance objectives and production targets.
This is a temporary contract for 6 months, to support the existing site engineer with a variety of projects.
