About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Tutor to join our team at Trafford & Stockport College Group. As an Electrical Installation Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, providing a secure and friendly environment for them to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a mixture of City and Guilds and EAL qualifications, ranging from level 1 to level 3, including apprenticeships and T-Levels.
  • Supervise the curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality, and operational targets.
  • Deliver high-quality, learner-focused education, providing a secure and friendly environment for students to succeed.
  • Plan, lead, and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practices, and quality targets.
About You

We are looking for an experienced and established tutor with a passion for electrical installation and a desire to share their knowledge and skills with others. The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working within the electrical installation industry (minimum 5 years).
  • Experience teaching electrical installation.
  • An Assessor Award qualification (A1) (preferred).
  • An Internal Verifier qualification (V1) or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications to level 3 in electrical installation. A JIB gold card status is preferred.
  • Qualified to 18th edition.
  • Qualified to 2391, although not essential as support can be given to complete this.
  • Teaching qualifications e.g. DTLLS, Cert Ed or equivalent or willing to work towards.
  • GCSE grade A*-C in English and Math or equivalent.
