Job Title: Apprentice - Engineering Systems

Hernshead Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineer to support and thrive in the area of Systems Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop software and control systems for various electrified powertrain features, including energy management, thermal management, and torque control.
  2. Design and integrate electric and electronic architectures, commission, test, and sign off electrified systems and their interactions within the vehicle powertrain.
  3. Develop and manage requirements for System, Software, or Electronic Hardware applications.
  4. Test and validate developed features and architectures against requirements to ensure successful product delivery.
Requirements:
  1. MSc / MEng or PhD in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience in automotive control systems.
  3. A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols, and components.
  4. Experience with V-cycle automotive development, System Engineering, and Quality tools.
  5. Experience with Matlab Simulink, dSpace, Vector, or ETAS engineering tools.
  6. Experience leading project delivery activities.
  7. Valid driving license for driving in the UK.
