Procurement Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Administrator to join our team at BTC Electronic Components. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the purchase-to-pay process and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the procurement team in preparing and raising purchase orders, as well as managing general stock replenishment.
  • Purchase goods, materials, and components in line with customer demand, maintaining optimal stocking levels.
  • Resolve supplier quality material issues identified in the warehouse, including documentation and quality control.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide updates and changes to open purchase orders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication and a professional approach.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures.
  • Work closely with other members of the procurement function to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a purchasing team, preferably within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification, or studying towards CIPS certification, would be beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown.
  • Experience working closely with suppliers and ability to add value, reduce costs, and contribute to business improvements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems would be advantageous.
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers, possessing good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and achieve set targets, as well as work well under pressure and handle emergency situations.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
What We Offer:

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
