We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Care Manager to lead our new children's home in the North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering and managing the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and creating a nurturing environment for children and young people.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day running of all aspects of the home, including quality assurance, care, recruitment, training, budgeting, staffing, and health and safety.
  • Keep all children and young people safe from harm and report any concerns urgently to minimize future impact.
  • Succesfully register with Ofsted and ensure the home meets relevant regulatory standards.
  • Manage and inspire the support team, conducting inductions, probation reviews, supervisions, and assessments in line with staffing requirements.
  • Recognize and assess individual children or young people's needs, working collaboratively with agencies to formulate personalized care plans.
  • Undertake financial management and budgeting of the home in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Level 5 Diploma for Leadership for Children & Young People's Residential pathway.
  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting, preferably in a supervisory/management role.
  • A proven record as a registered manager with Ofsted.
  • An understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively under pressure.
  • A calm and exploratory approach when working with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
