Senior Specification Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and team-driven Senior Specification Technologist to join our food manufacturing company in Swadlincote.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in product specifications and customer submissions, liaising with national account managers and suppliers for timely product reviews, and overseeing the completion of product artwork and packaging compliance.

You will also support NPD, Process, and Buying teams with food regulations and customer policies, drive food safety culture, and manage the Quality Management System, traceability challenges, and compliance with relevant legislation.

This is a full-time, permanent role on-site, offering a salary of £38,000 per annum.

Requirements:
  • FHSAQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of legal labelling requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage a small team
