About the Role:

Anderson Knight is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Contract Specialist to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company receives the best possible service and value from their supplier network.

The role involves managing client and supply chain contractual relationships, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You will also be responsible for managing client compensation events, penalties, and contractual rates increases.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client and supply chain contractual management
  2. Identifying risks, opportunities, and required actions
  3. Management of client compensation event process, compensations, penalties, and contractual rates increase
  4. Management and certification of supply chain
  5. Oversee site operational processes such as measurement, compensation event identification, and cost base management
  6. Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
  7. Manage contract negotiations focusing on discrepancies, compensation events, and potential penalties
  8. Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met, and handle unexpected situations
  9. Analyse projects, e.g. impact on timing, revenue, and gross profit of changes to supply chain and client rates
  10. Management and reporting of project prelims
  11. Support the tender and estimating team as needed
  12. Develop accurate and consistent bids with relevant departments
  13. Manage QS teams working alongside the Ops Manager for fluid collaboration and support

Requirements:

  • BSc/BEng in business administration, engineering, or a relevant field
  • Excellent commercial acumen and contract management skills
  • Knowledge of contractual agreements and law
  • Experience in a similar role at a similar level
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Contract drafting and writing skills
  • Strong communication, sales, and presentation skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of project programmes and commercial impact of changes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Full driving licence

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Glasgow.
