About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to lead our Private Client team on the South Coast. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality private client tax advice and compliance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the Private Client team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service and high-quality tax advice.
  • Support with strategy, budget setting, and monitoring to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to develop and execute business development plans, targeting high net worth individuals and large Privately Owned Businesses.
  • Participate in business development activities, including attending local events, presenting to clients, and writing thought leadership content.
  • Build relationships with intermediaries and a referral network to win new clients.
  • Identify and manage tax risk within the private client portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Support the wider National private client tax teams on complex issues and monitor changes in tax legislation.
  • Lead learning and development initiatives for the Poole tax team, mentoring, training, and supporting team members.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification (CTA or similar)
  • Proven track record of building internal and external relationships and networks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to positively impact and influence others
  • Broad and strong technical tax knowledge and expertise
  • Experience of managing financials, delegating to others, and taking responsibility for quality control
  • Proficiency with personal tax on CCH Central (an advantage)
