IT Support Professional

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to join our onsite IT Department. This role will be responsible for providing IT Support services to our site, resolving technical problems and ensuring that all aspects of our manufacturing processes are supported from an IT perspective.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to desktop PCs, laptops, printers, phones, hardware and software.
- Prioritise and monitor IT issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and upgrade of hardware and software systems.
- Liaise with 3rd parties, service providers, suppliers and contractors to ensure that faults, requests, queries and complaints are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain network services and protocols, including DHCP, DNS and Active Directory.
- Ensure that network services and protocols are functioning optimally.
- Maintain internet firewall, web filtering engine and email content control systems to minimise access to inappropriate material and the risk of network intrusion.
- Maintain backup, virus protection and disaster recovery policies.
- Provide clear communication, updates and translation to non-technical employees.
- Identify suitable products, solutions, suppliers and contractors for projects and obtain quotes to draw up detailed comparisons.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Experience of Microsoft Office and Office 365 products, Windows 10, 11 and Windows server 2016, 2019.
- Ability to translate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Due to the nature of our manufacturing facility, there will be requirements to work outside of normal business hours.
- A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to remain focused on quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
- Hands-on, practical experience with Active Directory, MS Group Policy, Hyper-V, SQL Service, Neptune Rapid Development Platform, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, VoIP, VLAN, Firewalls and Routers, Network Infrastructure.
