About the Role:
James Gray Recruitment is seeking a Works Manager to join our client, a leading civil engineering contractor based in Helensburgh. Our client is a civil engineering and construction contractor with a long history of delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Lead and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, and site staff to ensure all works are carried out safely and effectively.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure their adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Manage resources efficiently, including plant, materials, and labour.
• Monitor progress and ensure that any issues are addressed promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide regular reports and updates on project performance, progress, and risks.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a Works Manager or Site Manager role, ideally within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• Already hold or, must be able to qualify for UK security clearance.
