We are seeking a skilled Forklift Engineer Trainee to join our team at Briggs Equipment Ltd in the UK. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working on customer premises and at our workshop locations within their specified region. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, performing tasks that include shadowing, shadowing with supervision, and eventually independent work.

This 4-year apprenticeship programme is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and qualifications to become a fully qualified Forklift Truck & Powered Access Engineer. Upon completion, you will be eligible for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Engineer with a starting salary expectation of approximately £30,000+ dependent on location.

You will receive extensive training through our Briggs Academy and OEM partners, and the opportunity to attend an Outward Bound experience. In addition to your apprenticeship, you will gain valuable work experience, including completing manual labour and administrative tasks, and working outdoors in inclement weather conditions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. They should also have basic IT skills, such as email and website navigation, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
