About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Assistant to join our dynamic team at GXO Logistics, Inc. in Poole, BH15 3BN. As a key member of our Store to Home team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises on a multidrop basis, averaging 16 drops per day off-peak and 24 drops per day in peak season.
  • Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle, as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition and customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience of dealing with multi-drop home delivery is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting, and pushing.
  • Can-do attitude with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).
  • Flexibility to work on a 3-week rota pattern, including weekends.
