About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a specialist day centre for young people with moderate and severe SEN and complex needs.

The centre provides support to over 50 individuals who have a range of needs and disabilities, but are united by a love of learning and education. Our mission is to help those young people make life happen, and your role as a Support Worker will be vital in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals with life skills, including personal care and daily living tasks
  • Assisting with homework, study, and educational activities to promote independence and learning
  • Promoting independence amongst the people we support, and supporting them with complex needs
  • Liaising with other agencies and families as necessary to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other agencies and families
  • A kind, nurturing, and committed individual who is keen to support SEN learners
  • Experience working within the care sector (desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
