About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will have the chance to showcase your clinical expertise and leadership skills in a variety of different areas.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide medical input to patients under care of the Community Mental Health Team and attend CPAs for enhanced patients.
- Lead on screening of new referrals to the team and participate in service/team evaluation and planning of future service developments.
- Manage, appraise, and give professional supervision to junior medical staff.
- Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and whole mental health service.
- Join the Consultant on-call rota.

Requirements
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
Desirable
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
