Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team at Neogen Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure and technical direction.

About the Role:

As a Platform Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising our mature, high-traffic platform. You will work closely with senior engineers to make sound, secure architectural decisions and ensure platform resiliency, redundancy, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to make sound, secure architectural decisions
  • Ensure platform resiliency, redundancy, and high performance
  • Configure infrastructure to support frequent, reliable software deployments
  • Influence platform roadmaps and advocate for improved tooling and security practices
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support the infrastructure for web applications used by thousands daily

About You:

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aligns with our company values. To succeed, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS) for web applications
  • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools
  • Strong understanding of designing resilient systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and one programming language (Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, etc.)
  • A commitment to security best practices and excellent documentation skills
