Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team, responsible for managing costs, preparing financial reports, and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage costs and prepare financial reports to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain data within our in-house works management system.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing of all work carried out within the region.
  • Manage the Early Warning and Compensation Event process as set out in the Contract.
  • Face client disputes and create a strong client link.
  • Prepare revenue reports to facilitate preparation and publication of monthly management accounts.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Good understanding of the NEC form of contract.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Confident to work with IT/Digital system led solution to commercial management.
  • Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting processes.
  • Good communicator and team worker.
  • Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers.

About the Role

This is an office-based role with travel time less than an hour. You will be responsible for supporting the Regional Commercial Manager in delivering and exceeding the budgeted performance.

Travelling is part of this role as we have depots across the UK. Therefore, you must have a full, valid UK driving license and your own transport.
