Job Title: Front End Trading System UI Developer

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team at a leading fixed income hedge fund in London. The fund has a strong commitment to building its quant and tech team, and we are looking for a developer who can help us create fast and efficient UIs for our trading engines and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience working with large data sets and a passion for building high-performance UIs. They will also have a good understanding of statistical analysis and modeling, as well as experience working with interest rate trading products.

As a member of our team, you will be working closely with our quant and portfolio management teams to develop trading tools and apply machine learning technology and approaches throughout the investment process. You will also be involved in discussing and architecting new projects, working on a pipeline of development work, and supporting existing software in production.

We are looking for a candidate who is a high-performing self-starter with a low ego and the ability to be pragmatic in their approach to work. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business. Previous experience within hedge funds is advantageous but not required, and we are open to considering candidates with a strong background in software development who can acquire domain knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Strong academics in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Significant software development experience working with large data sets
  • Experience in the field of systematic trading is highly regarded but not essential
  • Experience with fixed income (interest rates) products is an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent, current programming ability in C# and Blazor/WinForms/WPF/Maui
  • At least 5 years experience working in a relevant role
  • Positive, can-do pragmatic attitude
