About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Wrexham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 7-18 with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with small groups of children, providing individualized support and guidance to enhance their learning experience.
  • Follow instructions and guidance from the class teacher to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children in and out of the classroom, including during playtime and lunchtime.
  • Prepare classroom materials, including cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating, to support lesson plans.
  • Observe and provide feedback to the class teacher on children's progress and learning.
  • Effectively manage off-task behaviors and create a positive learning environment.

About You:

We are looking for an individual with experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity. Previous experience supporting individuals with severe and complex needs is an advantage. You should possess transferable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, and EWC registration is also essential.
