An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious nurse to join our team as a Senior Nurse Specialist within the SACT Outreach Team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the development of nursing staff in a fast-paced environment. As a leader, you will be responsible for coordinating outreach clinics, developing clinical skills, and teaching others. You will also manage staff, their personal development needs, and attendance.

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent communication and leadership skills who can demonstrate initiative and vision in continuing to move our service forward. A strong positive role model, you will lead by example and encourage staff engagement.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide Support: Offer a supportive role within the SACT outreach sites for nursing, medical, and clerical staff while providing cover between Chemotherapy Services Units.
  • Nursing Care: Undertake the nursing care of patients, maintaining privacy and dignity, and being aware of physical and psychological needs.
  • Documentation: Give clear and accurate updates at change of duties and ensure accurate documentation of nursing interventions.
  • Training and Induction: Participate in nursing procedures appropriate to the department, support and assist in the induction/training of junior staff/Health Care Assistants, and act as a mentor to designated staff.
Requirements:
  • Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse post
  • Degree-level qualified nurse (RGN/RMN)
  • Current NMC registration
  • Experience of working in cancer services or related areas

Salary Estimate: £44,606 per annum.
