About the Role:
The Senior Credit Management Lead will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team to maximize collections and reduce outstanding debts. You will achieve collection targets that align with our broader business objectives, ensuring that all team activities are in line with our policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of credit management professionals to achieve collection targets and reduce outstanding debts.
- Collection Strategy: Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize returns and minimize losses.
- Communication: Communicate debtor reports and KPI information to senior management, setting the tone for internal and external customer messaging.
- Training and Development: Provide regular one-to-one support to team members, helping them to develop and perform at their best.
- Process Improvement: Co-ordinate and deliver year-end audit activities, working closely with our wider finance team to identify areas for process improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in complex debt collection and line management, coaching, and motivating a team.
- Education: Educated to A Level standard, with a minimum of C/4 in English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong IT literacy with a good working knowledge of Excel, experience with SAP and Salesforce is desirable.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Reconciliation: Excellent reconciliation skills, with the ability to cut through barriers to customer payments.
- Organisation: Highly organised with strong time management skills, capable of prioritising and coordinating team activities effectively.
- Analysis: Sharp analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving attitude.
- Leadership: Set high standards for yourself and your team, acting ethically and authentically in all actions.
