**Job Summary**
Principal People Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Manager to join a leading facilities management organization on a high-profile government contract.
This role will require frequent travel across the Midlands and North UK, with occasional overnight stays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting operational and strategic site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Preparing for accreditation audits to maintain the organization's reputation.
- Managing responsibilities across a multisite portfolio, including reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
- Implementing environmental and sustainability action plans to reduce the organization's carbon footprint.
- Liaising with site and regional management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Overseeing waste management and pollution control to minimize the organization's environmental impact.
- Improving biodiversity and other related duties to promote a sustainable work environment.
The ideal candidate will hold:
- IEMA membership or an environmental-based degree or equivalent.
- Experience working within facilities management, construction, maintenance, or hard services sectors.
- A willingness to work in both operational and strategic roles and travel across the Midlands and North with occasional overnight stays.
- A willingness to undertake and pass a security check.
- An engaging and communicative individual able to liaise at all levels.
