Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 2-form entry Primary School Academy in Blackpool. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with young children, particularly in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver engaging resources and activities for the whole class, small groups, and one-to-one support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to pupils on their progress and achievement, under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and leaders to plan and implement effective activities.
  • Liaise with other professionals, such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff, to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil support.
  • Work closely with other Learning Support Assistants and support staff to provide a comprehensive support system.
  • Monitor and track the development of individual pupils, supporting their personal growth and confidence.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of working with young people, particularly in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and engage with pupils in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Capacity to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and creativity in supporting pupils' learning and development.
  • Knowledge of SEN or experience working with children with learning difficulties.
  • Qualification as a Teaching Assistant.
