Manufacturing Shift Leader

Our client, a leading FMCG food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Shift Leader to join their team in Enfield. As part of one of Europe's largest specialist food companies, they offer a dynamic and challenging work environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently overseeing production, working closely with the Production Manager to meet production plan requirements, and monitoring health & safety, food safety standards, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all quality and pre-start checks are completed before production starts.
- Complete work orders, input OEE data, and develop shift reports for handover.
- Ensure hygiene/GMP standards are maintained throughout production areas.
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met and complied with throughout the shift.
- Provide troubleshooting support and escalate issues to production operators.
- Support the Production Manager in managing labour plans, holidays, sickness, and agency requirements.
- Drive performance through short interval control and attend production reviews.
- Support staff development through SOP development, training, team briefs, and feedback.
- Run production lines as part of holiday/absence cover.
We're looking for a strong leader who can engage and motivate a team, setting clear health and safety, quality, and food safety standards. A proven problem solver with experience driving efficiency and achieving savings through continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment is essential.
