Senior Accountant Job in Yeovil

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Yeovil. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive accounting and advisory services, and overseeing tax computations, VAT returns, and tax planning strategies.

About the Role
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing accounting and advisory services
  • Prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and management accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Oversee tax computations, VAT returns, and tax planning strategies for clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure quality of work
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact for accounting and financial matters
  • Assist with business advisory services, supporting clients in achieving their financial goals
  • Work closely with partners and senior management on ad-hoc projects and client engagements

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified, with experience in managing a portfolio of clients
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, tax, and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
